Doubtless, there will be many responses to the leasehold survey.
Doubtless, there will be many slick and professional responses from bodies such as LKP who represent the best interests of leaseholders on the one hand and developers who seek to protect the interests of developers/ freeholders/managing agents/solicitors on the other.
Many may be put off by filling in the survey precisely because they feel their answers will not be as well though out or expressed as the “professional” responses .
And it is precisely because those responses will not be professional is the reason why I call on everyone to complete the survey! It matters not a jot, if you answer a question in a different manner to the “professionals”
It matters not a jot, if you can’t spell or use punctuation?
It matters not a jot, if your answers reveal a total misunderstanding of leasehold?
By completing the survey, you are revealing the pain and frustration you have with the failings of leasehold.
You will be expressing you feelings of helplessness at being so ruthlessly exploited.
And you never know? One of your ideas, may prove to be a major breakthrough in ending the scourge of leasehold.
The survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete and is not too onerous (unlike the Ground Rents!). And were you to make a complete hash of it, you will have helped prove just how little understood leasehold is!
Don’t leave it to someone else. This is a very big opportunity to redress the balance. Numbers do count. In this case size does matter!
